I visited Veranda in October 2017, before it had actually opened. At that time, more than 70% of the units had been sold according to the agent I talked to. Few owners had moved in yet but the common areas were functional.
The location of Veranda, next to the toll road Jakarta-Tangerang, is convenient for anyone working near Puri Indah or Kebon Jeruk. The nearest toll road entrances are only 5-10 minutes away, depending on the traffic.
If you work in Central Jakarta, you will need at least 1 hour to go to your office. You won’t have much alternative but to go by car as there are no train or bus stations nearby.
Veranda is within a middle class neighborhood, which is something I enjoyed. This means you can buy inexpensive food and services easily, especially if you go to to the local market Pasar Puri Indah, only 5 minutes away. There are also dozens of cheap warungs and restaurants walking distance.
100 meters from the residence, there is a Ranch Market, a supermarket chain that sells imported and high-quality food, with a good restaurant attached to it (Ninety-Nine) and a Starbucks.
Facilities and Services
For now, Veranda just has the minimum facilities: A nice swimming pool, around 20 meters long, with a few long chairs and a tiny garden surrounding it.
There is also a small gym, well-equipped but nothing out of the ordinary for this kind of residence. I also saw a meeting room and they should open soon a library, a movie room and a play room for children.
The building was brand-new when I visited it and the condition was still excellent. It had the appearance of a solid 4-star boutique hotel.
Special attention was paid to the design, especially in the lobby area which is paved with marble tiles. The corridors and the common areas were clean and spotless.
The apartment units I saw were unfurnished but they looked modern, with kitchen islands and floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
However, in the 1-bedroom apartment unit, I thought the bedroom itself was too small compared to the size of the living room. I also didn’t like the view of the lower units (on the highway). I would really recommend choosing a higher floor to avoid the noise and pollution from the thousands of cars who pass below the residence every day.
