Founded in 1967, the “Lycée Français de Jakarta Louis-Charles Damais” has the particularity of being a non-profit organization managed by the parents of the students.

Number of students (Enrollment):

Around 500 from 30 different nationalities. To my knowledge, Indonesians are not allowed as the school doesn’t comply with the Indonesian Ministry of Education’s regulations regarding some classes (such as Religious Studies).

Curriculum and programs:

French curriculum (until French Baccalauréat) with some bilingual classes and programs

Cost (yearly):

Approximately between IDR 100,000,000 and IDR 150,000,000. Scholarships are available.

English if you choose the American International Section

Languages taught:

English, Indonesian, Mandarin, Spanish, German, Latin

Extra-curricular activities:

Sports: Swimming, Yoga, Capoeira, Pilates, Gymnastics, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Wushu, Badminton, Kickboxing, Taekwondo

Creative arts: Dancing (Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop), Music, Drama, Painting

Other: Cooking, Coding

Equipment and facilities:

Swimming Pool, gymnasium, library, canteen, computer, and science lab


It is accredited by the French government, via the Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger – AEFE
