Daun is both a hotel and a long-stay residence. It is not a real apartment but I chose to include it on this website as it can be useful for people who need a reasonably-priced accommodation in Central Jakarta.

I spent just a couple days there and these are my impressions about my stay.

Location

Daun Residence is in the heart of a middle-class Indonesian neighborhood, itself in the middle of the Central Business District of Jakarta. For this reason, you get a bit of both worlds: An ideal position near some of the most prestigious office buildings in Jakarta, with the atmosphere of a peaceful countryside village. I found it much more authentic compared to staying in an upscale expat neighborhood like Mega Kuningan.

Facilities and Services

The facilities and services of Daun Residence are quite limited, unfortunately:

There is no swimming pool and only a very small gym.

The residence does not have a restaurant on site, but it is only about 400 meters from Setiabudi One, a complex with at least 30 cafés and a supermarket. There are also dozens of cheap Indonesian food stalls nearby.

There is not kitchen in the rooms, but you get access to a common pantry with some basic equipment and a microwave.

There is a laundry shop in the ground floor with reasonable prices.

Quality

Daun Residence is brand new and rather comfortable. The rooms are well-designed and elegant, with quality mattresses and LCD TVs.

When I was there, the linen and the towels were still spotless but from my experience it never lasts very long.

The cleanliness of the property was good as well.

Prices

Currently, they have 63 suite rooms. The price for is IDR5,500,000 all inclusive for a month and IDR2,500,000 all inclusive for a week.
